worlding the world, from heidegger, is proof positive of the difficulties of translation and philosophy. the phrase, which occurs over and over again at least in the small sampling of his work that I have read. and its contested term blah-blah-blah. but what strikes me is this: as a parent, or at least as a mom, i am populating the world for my three year old. i am worlding the world, creating the world by defining the objects within it.
